This fabulous pair of harlequin-dressed singerie candle holders in gilded sterling silver by Ubaldo Vitali, a celebrated 4th generation master silversmith, were commissioned by Tiffany & Co. ca 1976. Vitali's work is rare and prestigious. He is the only silversmith ever to have won the Macarthur Foundation Genius Grant. His works have been on display at the Smithsonian, and he has been commissioned for work by The Shah of Iran, multiple presidents, and Queen Elizabeth II.
