19th Century Knights Of Holy Sepulchre Jerusalem Cross Old Mine Cut Diamond Gold Bracelet
What a treasure, restored to its former glory! Imagine the intriguing and mysterious history this antique 19th century bracelet must have. Rarely will you have the opportunity to find such a one-of-a-kind heirloom.
The bracelet bears, in two locations, the emblem of the Jerusalem cross, in red enamel flanking... both sides of the old mine cut featured in the central panel. The red Jerusalem cross is the sacred symbol of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, an ancient Catholic order under the protection of the Holy See, the papalcy, charged with the sacred duty to protect of the tomb of Christ in Jerusalem.
Obtained from the estate of a family with multiple generations belonging to this ancient and secret society, we are pleased to present to you this rare and treasured item.
The rear of the bracelet is not original, and was selected to rebuild the original worn links most likely in the 1960s.
